6 musings on 6 years in business

Last month, we celebrated six years of business! I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Davy Partners and everything we’ve achieved along the way. So, here are six musing from six years in business:

1. We aim to be an extension of our client's team, but they're also an extension of ours.

Celebrating our wins, commiserating with our challenges and being people we trust, respect and share many laughs with.

2. For every moment I want to throw in the towel, there are 2 (at least) that remind me why we started and the impact we are making.

3. In spite of the doubt and the imposter syndrome, this is a 'real business'.

We've got the team, the office, the 7-figure revenue and over 200 satisfied customers to prove it. I've almost convinced myself.

4. Working alongside great people makes it so worth it and really is the dream.

I miss my team when we're all WFH or working at client offices for most of the week. Their passion for their part of the puzzle is inspiring and our clients are as lucky as I am to have them! It’s taken time, false starts, and concerted effort to build this team, and we’re so happy to have them.

5. We really know how to deliver HR strategy and support to our clients in a way that connects with them.

We’re often reminded that although this all seems second nature to us, the way we approach HR makes a difference and gives our clients confidence and peace of mind they didn’t have before working with us.

6. The business community is mainly made up of super genuine people that want to see you succeed.

Business is portrayed as cut-throat, but we’ve been lucky and grateful to come across the best people! The connections we’ve made, the referrals people have given, the support and encouragement have all been beyond expectation.

If you're a business owner in the thick of it right now, I see you. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
